When life seems unbearable

There are times in life, when the sea of life seems turbulent and we can no longer bear anymore. Oftentimes; circumstances beyond our control is dished to us divinely, to test our faith;and also to tempt and frustrate our lives by the devil and his agents. But in all this unbearable circumstances or challenges;is to the glory of God; only if we stand by faith to fight, and to overcome this fiery darts of the devil.

One unbearable challenge we as a family had been encountering,is the issue of mental disorder on our mother. In life;we know that, the spirit controls the physical. And as Christians,we are fighting more or less spiritual battles. What am trying to say,is that:our mother’s mental deterioration had been in a recurring state for over 15yrs;so this seems spiritual. Our mother, don’t have any issues with anyone. Challenges befalls anyone undermining your spiritual fitness. This recurrence (s) has weighed too heavy on us as children, husband, parents, relatives, friends. Calling upon the heavens for help is the best option ever. But many at times; when we call;it seems there is no answer coming true. No iota of doubt should disprove the faithfulness of God in our lives when we encounters unbearable situations.

Sometimes; the “unbearable”,comes to teach, instruct, direct, change our mode of living and also to strengthen.

Dealing with a recurring mental disorder,is really and truly an unbearable situations. But,be calm, and watch God doing his marvelous work.

Ole, and his Boss Once upon a time, there lived a young man called; Ole,in a local village called,Asaba- Ase in Delta State here in Nigeria. Ole was privileged enough to be picked up by an average old man, called Omulu. Omulu is a man of hospitality, kindness, dignity and honesty. He is the community maritime chairman and fuel vendor. Omulu had sympathy for Ole, took him to be his fuel sales boy,as if that’s not enough;he accommodated him in his own house. Mr Ole was treated like a child of Omulu by his family. Anything prepared in the house is what they dishes for him. Omulu,Ole’s boss entrusted the fuel business to him. But aside from this trust, Ole was playing some hanky’s panky games with his boss money. He taught,he was very smart. He doesn’t understand that a boss remains a boss. Despite his nonchalant and stealing stunts,he always pulls, Omulu;his boss, kept him silent as if nothing was happening. Sometimes Ole’s boss will audit him and finds out money was missing in every daily sales, Ole will stand a chance to give his boss a cock and bull story; lying that no money was missing. And his boss endured his bad attitude and was patient enough until the day Ole insulted his boss wife;by gossiping her around the locality. With hearing such news about Ole’s gossip, and insult to his wife;Mr Omulu, Ole’s boss was struck to anger. So one unfortunate evening for Ole,his boss called him at the dinner table; and what he heard his boss telling him, shocked him, and made him broke into tears. His boss said; Ole, from today onward, you no longer be my sales boy and you will no longer live with me in my house;so pack your luggages and leave my house. Ole broke into tears profusely and uncontrollably, but his tears couldn’t change his boss decision to his dismissal. Lessons we ought to learn from this story: 1. Never outshine your master(boss). 2. Never take your boss simplicity for foolishness. 3. Respect and be loyal enough to your bosses. 4. Jettison pride. 5. Never steals from your boss and anyone else. 6. Never disregards your bosses wife and folks. 7. Finally;never give up on your failures.

Sophia, The Dog. Once upon a time, there lived a happy family. In the family, there was a father, a mother, and two sisters. The elder sister, Bella was full of life and always used to feed stray dogs. On the other hand, Betty the younger sister used to stay with her mother all the time. Also, she was scared of dogs and never liked them. One day, while Bella was playing, she saw a beautiful dog. It was a very cute pomeranian dog with white furs. The dog was standing in the middle of the road and was afraid as its owner left it on the road willingly. The dog was very sad and was moaning in pain. Bella quickly picked it up and brought it to her home. As you all know, Betty did not like dogs, she started to shout at Bella. However, Bella did not listen to her and made the dog comfortable and fed it. Hearing the conversation, the mother rushed immediately and said,”Darling, from where did you find this dog?why did you bring it home?” To this, Bella replied”mamma, the poor dog was sad because it’s owner left it on the road. So,i brought her home. She will stay with us from now on”. The mother smiled and immediately agreed. The poor Betty was not happy with her decision. She was really scared of the dogs. In the evening, the father came from the office. He also tried hard to make Betty understand, but Betty was very stubborn. She did not want this dog to stay at her home. Soon,it was time to go to bed. The mother tied the dog as Betty was scared of it and soon everybody was fast asleep, except for the dog. The dog was crying as it was missing its owner. Are first, Betty was actually enjoying the dog’s company. The father, mother, and Bella were looking at all of this from behind the door. They pretended as if they did not see anything. The next morning, Betty said,”I have decided the name of my dog,it will be Sophia!”. To this, Bella said,” my dog? It’s our dog!Aww, I loved the name.” At once, Bella hugged Betty and said,”I love you, sister!” The father and mother were happy to hear that and they welcomed a new member to their family. And so, Betty and Sophia become best of friends. They are still the best of friends. They play together, sleep together, eat together and most of all, they love each other a lot

What tolerance do:

A one time President of South Africa, freedom fighter, dignified personality; Nelson Mandela, said;” The mentality of reprisals destroys states, while the mentality of tolerance build nations”.A lesson i learnt from this statement was that, tolerating anyone that annoys you almost every time creates avenue for peace and harmony amidst various societies, communities, nations. Even, tolerance gives you a peace of mind, when you don’t pick up offence from what anyone would say to you to annoy. If we can cultivate this act of tolerating everyone no matter what it takes, there will be an atmosphere of peace and happiness. So challenge yourself today by tolerating every bit of mishandling from your foes.
